What are the admission requirements at IUB Pharmacy?
- Combined GPA of 7 in S.S.C & H.S.C with minimum GPA of 3 in each.
- O-Level in minimum 5 subjects with a GPA 2.50 and A-Level in 2 subjects with a minimum GPA 2.00
- International Baccalaureate or U. S. High School Diploma
- Other 12-years equivalent degree (must have the equivalence certificate from Ministry of Education)
Is there any way to take admission in IUB Pharmacy without an examination?
No! You must sit for the admission exam to get admitted in IUB Pharmacy. The only exceptions might be if you have taken SAT/IELTS/TOEFL recently and have attained sufficiently high score in these exams.
What is the meaning of “credit” or “credit hour” in relation to the courses?
Answer: Credit hour is a number assigned to a course. This number is based on the total number of classes that takes place in that course. For example, a 3 credit course in Pharmacy will have 24 classes in total, while a 1 credit course in Pharmacy will have 8 classes in total. All theory courses in Pharmacy are 3 credit courses while all practical/laboratory courses are 1 credit courses.
How long are the semesters at the Department of Pharmacy?
Answer: Semesters at the Department of Pharmacy are 6-months long.
How many semesters are there in a year at the Department of Pharmacy?
Answer: There are two semesters at the Department of Pharmacy.
Does IUB Pharmacy offer the 4-year of the 5-year BPharm Program?
Answer: IUB Pharmacy offers the 4-year BPharm Program.
How much is the credit fee at IUB?
Answer: The fee per credit is currently Taka 6000/=

There are waivers for meritorious students with:

Can I get a scholarship at IUB based on my HSC/A-Level or SSC/O-Level Results?
Students with golden GPA (GPA 5 without 4th subject) in SSC and HSC will get 100% tuition fee waiver after successfully qualifying in at the IUB admission test.
Students with five (5) A’s in O-Level exam and one (1) A in A-Level exam will get 100% tuition fee waiver.
What is the total fee for the whole course?
Answer: Tuition fee can vary based on many factors, most importantly, based on the result of students at IUB. In addition, all female students get an automatic tuition fee waiver of 10% every semester.
However, the approximate total fee over 4-years is given below.
Male Students (with no waiver) – (Taka 6000 x 170 credits) + (Taka 7000 x 8 semester) + (Taka 25000) = 1,10,1000 (Taka 11 lacs 1 thousand only)
Female Students (with automatic 10% waiver) = (Taka 5400 x 170 credits) + (Taka 7000 x 8 semester) + (Taka 25000) = 999,000 (Taka 9 lacs 99 thousand only)
Students with the CGPA at IUB will receive scholarship/tuition fee waiver as follows.

3.51 – 3.69 ➔ 30%
3.70 – 3.79 ➔ 50%
3.80 – 3.84 ➔ 75%
3.85 – 4.00 ➔ 100%
Please note that many of our students pay between Taka 8 – 9 lacs because of the generous scholarship/financial aid policy of IUB.
How much tuition fee do I have to pay every semester (every 6 months)?
It depends on the number of courses and credits you take in a particular semester and varies significantly.
Male Students taking 12 credits will pay (12 x 6000) + 7000 = Taka 79000 every six months
Male Students taking 18 credits will pay (18 x 6000) + 7000 = Taka 115,000 every six months
Male Students taking 22 credits will pay (22 x 6000) + 7000 = Taka 139,000 every six months
Female Students taking 12 credits will pay (12 x 5400) + 7000 = Taka 71800 every six months
Female Students taking 18 credits will pay (18 x 5400) + 7000 = Taka 104,200 every six months
Female Students taking 22 credits will pay (22 x 5400) + 7000 = Taka 125,800 every six months
Do you provide installment facility in tuition fee payment?
YES! The Department of Pharmacy allows payment of tuition fee in easy installments.
